A Rich History
Our rich history in the petroleum equipment industry started with Mr. James "Jimmy" Newberry. In 1927, Mr. Newberry began peddling pumps, hoses, and tanks in the Mid South. In 1951, Mr. Newberry moved the company to its present location in West Memphis, Arkansas, to begin manufacturing tank trucks and steel storage tanks.
Mr. Newberry was a founding member of the Petroleum Equipment Institute (PEI). As a result of his determination, hard work, and drive to see the organization succeed, Mr. Newberry became known as "The Father of the PEI."
Upon Mr. Newberry's retirement, the company was acquired by the Kemp family with Hamilton Tanks of Columbus, Ohio. The company continued to grow its reputation for providing quality products and services. Over the years, Newberry has worked with organizations such as STI, PEI, NFPA, EPA, and Underwriter's Laboratories and has been instrumental in developing many of the products and standards serving the industry today.
In early 2011 the company transitioned to new ownership and today, the talented and experienced team at Newberry Tanks & Equipment, LLC is available to serve your needs for petroleum storage tanks and related equipment and services.
In 2012, Faith Tank became a part of Newberry Tanks & Equipment, bringing rectangular lube tanks, lube dispensing and oil recycling recovery systems to our catalog of storage tank equipment and services.
Centralized manufacturing facilities provide superior economies of scale and combine with the Newberry quality and production systems to lever competitive advantage. National coverage from a strategic location, Memphis, often referred to as "America's Distribution Center" gives Newberry the continued advantage of quick transit times and some of the most competitive freight rates in the industry.
