Looking Slim! Newberry Tanks’ SlimLine Tank is The People’s Choice at the American Business Awards®

WEST MEMPHIS, AR, July 28, 2020 /24-7PressRelease/ — The votes at the American Business Awards are in, and with more than 87,000 public ballots cast worldwide, Newberry Tank and Equipment’s “SlimLine” steel tank won the People’s Choice Stevie® for New Industrial Product.

The American Business Awards are the nation’s premier business awards program. All organizations operating in the U.S.A. are eligible to submit nominations – public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small. Newberry received a slew of accolades this year including Gold for Company of the Year, Achievement in Management and Business Technology, in addition to a bronze for the SlimLine Tank from judges.

But there’s no win, place or show when it comes to the People’s Choice. It’s a winner take all award, and the public has spoken: the SlimLine Tank is the choice of the year.

Designed with input from Lube Industry giants and crafted by welders whose work at Newberry spans generations, the SlimLine is available in single wall or double wall construction and fits through a standard doorway. The steel tank features robotic welds with a folded clamshell construction for rigidity, as well as even weight distribution, and fork skids for mobility. Newberry received orders from no less than five household name brands within the first month of production.

West Memphis, AR May 18, 2020 – Today the American Business Awards® announced that oil and petroleum storage supplier Newberry Tanks LLC is the winner of a slew of accolades including:

Newberry received the highest honors for “Achievement in Management” due to their bold ‘New Thinking’ philosophy and practices in 2019. Defying near-century long industry norms, Newberry started offering steel tanks on-demand, turnkey solutions, expedited shipping as well as a new product to the under-served Lube Market. The combination resulted in growth that was 52% higher than industry average.

Equally impressive was Newberry’s gold medal for their industry-first “Tank Calculator,” which won for “New Product in Business Technology Manufacturing.” The free application assists oil refuelers with measuring available capacity inside a tank when refueling. The result is an 87% recurring percentage reduction in time spent on each delivery, as well as prevention of environmentally damaging accidental spills.

Newberry’s “SlimLine” steel tank took the bronze for “New Industrial Product.” Designed with input from Lube industry giants, the innovative design resulted in orders from five household name brands within the first month of production and resulted in a 47% increase in sales from this vertical market.

The Gold for “Company of the Year in Metals and Mining” was the crowning achievement that encompassed all of Newberry’s intentional innovation efforts in 2019 and assured that the company is well and truly the “Think Tank of Oil and Petroleum Storage” for years to come.
